Stafford vs Faith Family - 2023 Week 29 Basketball Highlights

Stafford Head Coach David Montano had the Spartans back at state for the 8th time as they took on back to back 4A champs Faith Family from Dallas. First quarter, Spartans were right in it, Michael Fontenot-Ross with the fadeaway in the lane for 2. Then Fontenot-Ross takes it right to the tin and scores. Stafford was leading 8-4 in the first. But then, Faith Family went on a 16-0 run to end the first. Jazz Henderon throws the alley oop to Isaac Williams for the lay in. Then Williams gets the steal and takes off for another big dunk. Eagles led 20-8 after 1. Stafford showed some defense in the 2nd quarter. That's Maxwell Frels with the interception and he's going the other way for the sweet lefty layup. Spartans go to the 7 footer in the middle and Dame Salane gets the hook shot to go. Stafford would still trail by 15 at the break. 2nd half...Braden East would knock down the pull up jumper, but the star forward would only finish with 5 points. Then it's Frels again....all his defenders leave him alone so he drops a 3 pointer on them. Stafford was down 47-35 after 3. In the 4th, Faith Family would run away, Williams hit the floating jumper in the paint. He led all with 19 points and Faith Family won 59-40 to end the Spartans season.
