Katy Extends District Win Streak to 43 Games with 56-10 Rout of Katy Jordan

Forty-three consecutive district wins. That number alone tells the story of Katy Tigers football, and Friday night's 56-10 dismantling of Katy Jordan added another chapter to one of the most dominant streaks in Houston-area high school football.

The tone was set before most fans had settled into their seats. On the very first play from scrimmage, Tony Manuel took a handoff, found the hole, and turned on the jets — 76 yards to the end zone and a 7-0 lead before Jordan's defense could blink. The ensuing kickoff only made things worse for Jordan, as a fumble was recovered by Steven Jones, giving Katy the ball right back. Two plays later, CJ Watts cut left, made a quick read, and walked into the end zone untouched. Less than a minute of game time had elapsed, and Katy led 14-0.

The second quarter brought more of the same. Jordan's Thomas Eugate completed a pass in the flat, but Sydney Nguyen delivered a punishing hit to knock the ball loose. Colt Venier scooped it up and scored, pushing the lead to 28-0 and effectively ending any hope of an upset.

Manuel found the end zone again in the third quarter, this time with a push from teammates Zach Robinette and Isaac Coughran driving him across the goal line — a fitting symbol of the collective effort on display throughout the night.

The final score was 56-10. Katy improved to 3-0 on the season and, more notably, stretched its district winning streak to 43 straight games — a testament to the program's sustained excellence in one of Texas's most competitive football regions.
