Kash Schwab Runs Wild as Bridgeland Dominates Cy Ranch 31-14
Four touchdowns. That was Kash Schwab's night — and it was more than enough.
The Bridgeland running back was the story from the opening possession, taking a handoff and punching it in from five yards out to give the Bears an early 7-0 lead over Cy Ranch. He added a second score in the second quarter to push the advantage to 14, then a third in the third quarter to make it 24-7 and effectively put the game out of reach.
Cy Ranch, which had been generating big offensive numbers through the early part of the season, struggled to find any rhythm against Bridgeland's defense. Quarterback Braden Baker had a pass picked off in the end zone by Camden Buchanan in the first quarter, killing what could have been a momentum-shifting drive. Baker did connect with Derrick McCullar on a crossing route late in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 14-7 at halftime, but Bridgeland answered with another methodical drive to start the second half.
Schwab capped his night in the fourth quarter with a 61-yard touchdown reception — quarterback Taylon Villanueva swung it out to him in space, and Schwab made a pair of defenders miss before breaking into the clear. The final score was 31-14, a statement win for Bridgeland after coming off a tough loss the week prior.
