CE King Dominates College Park 58-7 Behind Gatson, Davis & Willis

Neither team wanted to fall to 1-2, but only one walked away with any momentum. CE King made that clear from the opening drive, and the Panthers never looked back in a 58-7 rout of College Park.

Tyrin Gatson set the tone early, punching in a touchdown from the 2-yard line on CE King's first possession. The Panthers kept rolling on their second drive, with Khylin Davis finding Joshua Blanco on a bubble screen — Blanco followed his blockers and turned it into a 22-yard score. By the second quarter, Triston Willis was dragging defenders into the end zone, and CE King led 24-0 before College Park had found any rhythm.

College Park's situation worsened when starting quarterback Camden Hughes left with an injury. The Cavaliers did manage to get on the board — Brian Snodgrass connected with Julian Cromartie for a sharp after-the-catch play — but it was too little against a CE King defense that was suffocating all night. Davis added a touchdown pass to Braylon Lane just before halftime to push the lead to 31-7.

The second half brought no relief for College Park. Gatson found the end zone again, this time going untouched up the middle, as CE King finished with a 58-7 final. The Panthers' offense operated with the kind of efficiency that makes them a program to watch as district play approaches.
