May 20, 2026
Scotty Zuehlke's seventh-inning grand slam powers Katy past Cy-Fair 4-1, improving the Tigers to 30-2 on the season.

A pitchers' duel through six innings turned into a dramatic finish as Katy rallied from a one-run deficit to defeat Cy-Fair 4-1. The Tigers improved to 30-2 on the season, while the Bobcats saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end.

Cy-Fair broke through in the third inning when Isaac Curtis singled to right field, plating Brayden McDaniel from third base to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead. That advantage held until Katy mounted a seventh-inning rally.

Cannon Karnuth delivered a key single to right field to load the bases, setting the stage for Scotty Zuehlke. The Tigers' hitter drove a pitch deep to left field that carried over the wall for a grand slam, giving Katy a 4-1 lead.

Cy-Fair threatened in the bottom of the seventh with the tying run in scoring position, but Robles popped out to left field to end the game and secure the comeback victory for the Tigers.
