A wild pitch decided first place. Dion Johnson scored the go-ahead run in the sixth as Iowa Colony edged Friendswood 3-2 to tie for the top spot in District 20-5A.

Noah Nelson's early RBI had given Friendswood a 2-0 lead, but MJ Christopoulus and Carson White brought the Pioneers back. Landon Brown closed with a strikeout-the-side seventh inning.
