Cy Woods Completes 14-Game Win Streak with 16-6A Title Shutout Over Bridgeland
A 13-game win streak had already made Cy Woods the team to beat in District 16-6A. Against Bridgeland with the title on the line, the Wildcats made sure there was no doubt.
Ross Sullivan was the story on the mound, working a complete-game two-hitter and finishing with a strikeout to seal a 2-0 shutout. The right-hander was in command throughout, giving the Wildcats' defense little to worry about — though Aidan Haby made sure to stay sharp anyway, laying out for a diving catch in left-center in the early innings.
Cy Woods got on the board when Sullivan helped his own cause, rolling a single through the left side to score Conner Boone, who beat the throw home. Brandon Stoebner added an insurance run later, ripping a high fastball into the right-center gap to score Jacob Buenrostro and push the lead to 2-0.
That was all Sullivan needed. The Wildcats wrapped up the 16-6A title with the shutout win, capping a dominant district run that now stretches to 14 consecutive victories.
