Liberty Wins 4A-D2 State Title With 12-0 Shutout Over Brock

June 3, 2026
Liberty wins its 4th state title in 9 years, blanking Brock 12-0 in the 4A-Division 2 softball championship behind Taylor, Brashier, and Bishop.

Four state titles in nine years. Liberty softball added another chapter to one of the most decorated programs in 4A-Division 2, dismantling Brock 12-0 in the state championship game.

The Panthers wasted no time building a lead. With Liberty already ahead 1-0, Kinley Brashier lined a ball over the second baseman's head that rolled all the way to the wall, scoring Kylee Bishop to push the lead to 2-0. Abbie Key followed with a hit to the exact same spot in right-center, bringing in Brashier and extending the advantage to three.

Liberty blew the game open in the fifth inning, plating four more runs. Bayleigh Taylor delivered a bases-loaded double to right that brought in two, and Bishop added an RBI single to center to drive in two more Panthers.

Taylor was equally dominant in the circle, keeping Brock off the scoreboard throughout and inducing a pop-up for the final out to seal the shutout. The 12-0 final was a statement performance — Liberty's fourth state title in nine years and a testament to a program that consistently competes at the highest level of Class 4A softball.
