Langham Creek DL Ezekiel Ayangbile Earns Parker University MVP Bobblehead

Football runs deep in the Ayangbile household. Where Dwayne Brown spent 17 seasons protecting quarterbacks on NFL offensive lines, his son Ezekiel has made it his business to do the opposite — hunting them down from the defensive side of the ball at Langham Creek High School.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive lineman is this week's Parker University MVP, recognized for a junior season in which he posted 50 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and three sacks. Those numbers, combined with his size and motor, have drawn attention well beyond Houston's District 17-6A.

Ayangbile credits much of his edge to the education he gets at home. Brown, a former Houston Texan, regularly breaks down blocking technique with his son — sharing the very tendencies that gave offensive linemen trouble at the highest level. That inside knowledge, Ayangbile says, gives him a distinct advantage when diagnosing blocks at the high school level.

The recruitment process is now behind him. Ayangbile committed to the University of Miami, a program with a well-documented pipeline of NFL defensive linemen. He described the visit as an immediate sense of belonging — from the coaching staff to the environment to the style of play.

With his college decision made, Ayangbile's focus returns to the Lobos and what Langham Creek can accomplish this season. For a program competing in one of the Houston area's tougher 6A districts, a dominant presence up front is exactly the kind of difference-maker that shapes playoff runs.
