These two played each other in a classic overtime game last year in this round and they're back at again this year.
Early on Tompkins Quarterback Wyatt Young, the master of the play fake, keeps it himself for a 13 yard score to put the Falcons up 7-0.
Not to be outdone, Ridge Point's Austin Carlyle keeps it himself and forces his way into the end zone from 13 yards out to tie it at 14.
Late 2nd quarter, Young again on the keeper and he scores his 3rd touchdown of the half from 17 yards away. Katy Tompkins would lead 24-21 at the break.
Panthers strike early in the 3rd when Carlyle hooks up with Ashton Bethel-Roman on a 60 yard connection and Ridge Point takes the 29-24 lead.
4th quarter, Tompkins down 43-24, and Young dumps the screen off to Jhase McMillan and with a burst of speed, McMillan goes 52 yards down the sidelines to cut the Panther lead to 43-31.
But it wasn't to be for the Falcons. Carlyle finds Bethel-Roman again who jumps back to make 2 defenders miss and then scampers 30 yards to the house. Ridge Point wins it 49-44 and will face the winner of our next game.
