North Shore vs Duncanville - 2021 Week 17 Football Game of the Week

This one would be a slugfest as two of the best defenses in all of Texas went at it.

First quarter, Freshman quarterback Kaleb Bailey fakes the handoff and throws to his brother Jhalyn (Jalin) for a 3 yard touchdown and the Mustangs take the 7-0 lead after 1.

Duncanville answers back in the 2nd quarter. Jordan Crook on the 1 yard run and it's a 7-7 game.

The rest of the half was all defense and Senior leader, Kent Battle with the massive sack as Duncanville could not move the ball much in the first half. 7-7 at the break.

Second half, take a look at Kaleb Bailey take off on a 18 yard scramble. The youngster showed no fear of the big game as that would lead to a field goal and a 10-7 lead.

After Duncanville tied it up at 10, defense steps up again as Jayven Anderson gets the huge sack.

Just under 3 minutes left, the play of the game. Bailey, for the first time, plenty of time in the pocket and finds David Amador for the 39 yard touchdown and Mustangs lead 17-10.

Last chance for Panthers and Soloman James looking to move the chains but there's Anderson with game winning pick. North Shore beats Duncanville 17 -10 and takes the 6A D 1 state title for 3rd time in 4 years.
