Great game at Delmar Stadium as Lamar took on Ridge Point
Texans drive to the 5 and that's where Justin Howard darts into the end zone to put Lamar up 7-0.
Ridge Point's Quincy Drummer would tie this up at 7 as he blasts through the whole and is gone on a 37 yard jaunt to the end zone. 7-7
The big story of this game was the Lamar defense. They caused 5 turnovers on the night. Here Corwin Gaines makes one of his 2 picks on the night and would take it inside the 10 where the Texans would later score to go up 24-21.
Ridge Point has the ball in the 4th when quarterback Austin Carlisle takes off for a 34 yard gain, but coughs it up...luckily for him, this time Nick Thomas was Johnny On The Spot and scooped it up for the final 17 yards. Panthers up 28-24.
But with just over 2 to play, Jordan Reaves connects with Enrico Moore-Espinoza for a 25 yard touchdown. Lamar up 31-28.
Texans would seal the game as they cause yet another Ridge Point turnover in the red zone. Lamar wins 31-28 and will face Atascocita next week.
