Bellville taking on Jasper in a 4A Division 2 Region 3 Final.
Late 2nd quarter, Bray-mas were uncharacteristically down 7-0....they hadn't been behind in a game in quite some time, but D D Murray got this one all square when he scored from 15 yards out. Bellville would take a 10-7 lead into the break.
Second half, and the Bray-mas stretch the lead when Zack Leuschner (Losch-ner) goes 18 yards to Hunter Kunkel and Bellville goes up 17-7.
It was 24-7 when Jasper is knocking at the door, but watch D D Murray prove that one of those "D's" stands for Defense as he wrestles the ball away from the receiver at the goal line for the pick. It also earned the Braymas our Defensive Title Belt this week.
D.D. wasn't done either as he would make sure that turnover turned into points personally.....Murray is gone on a 73 yard house call. Bellville is advancing to their first state semifinal since 2012 with a 31-7 win. They will face Wimberley next week
