Alvin Mosley: Fort Bend Crawford's Two-Sport Star Headed to Ole Miss
Fifty touchdowns. A regional football final. A state basketball championship appearance. Fort Bend Crawford has only existed since 2023, and a significant portion of that early legacy runs through one player.
Alvin Mosley, a senior receiver for the Chargers, has been a constant in both programs since the school opened its doors. On the football field, he's grown into one of the most dangerous pass-catchers in the Houston area — a physical, contested-catch specialist who describes his 50/50 ball success rate as closer to 95/5. On the hardwood, he averaged nearly 15 points per game last season for a Crawford squad that reached the Class 4A state championship game.
The crossover between sports is no coincidence. Mosley credits basketball for sharpening the footwork and body control that make him so difficult to cover as a receiver — the jab step, the triple-threat positioning, the ability to high-point a ball in traffic. His coaches see it too, noting that his moves on the court translate directly to what defenders face on Friday nights.
Crawford head coach and staff have watched Mosley become more than just an athlete. He's taken on a visible role in the school community, connecting with younger students and elementary-age kids who have grown up watching the Chargers build something from scratch.
That foundation now extends beyond Houston. Mosley has committed to Ole Miss, where he'll play in the SEC under head coach Pete Golding. He built relationships with the full Rebels staff during his recruitment and says the only thing standing between him and success at the next level is himself.
