Dickinson's Canon Boone always dreamed of being coached by his dad, Defensive Line Coach Michael Boone. After being coached by him for a year, Canon was asked to fill a need at offensive line. Despite making a move he wasn't excited about, Canon has flourished on the offensive line and has committed to Virginia Tech. Canon Boone has proven to be a true team player and his willingness to make a sacrifice was what was best for the team.
New Caney hired new coach Travis Reeve only to have the pandemic shut down school 2 weeks later. Reeve was tasked with the job of implementing his new offense and defense on zoom calls while trying to build relationships with his new team. The Chevy Spotlight shines on the Eagles who attempt to continue on their upward trend under new Coach Reeve.
Our Chevy Spotlight goes Behind the Scenes with New Caney football. The Eagles hired a new head coach in Travis Reeve who has tried to implement his style of play over zoom calls during a pandemic.
The St. Thomas Eagles football team returns 27 seniors with many of them being skilled position players. Lead by senior quarterback, Maddox Kopp, the Eagles look to be a serious TAPPS state title contender. This week's Chevy Spotlight shines on what should be a promising year for St. Thomas football.
