Yates Dominates North Forest 72-7 in District 11-4A Division 2 Showdown

District 11-4A Division 2 title implications were on the line when Yates hosted North Forest, and the Lions left no doubt about who controls the race.

Yates wasted no time setting the tone. In the first quarter, Jacoby Davis took an option carry, shed a pair of tacklers, and delivered a stiff arm that sent him into the open field for a 41-yard touchdown. The Lions never looked back.

Jordan Simmons kept the momentum going in the second quarter, taking a handoff, making a pair of sharp jukes, and cruising untouched for a 36-yard score. By that point, Yates had firmly taken control of the game.

Davis added to his night in the third quarter, showing touch on a pass that Zaylan Simpson hauled in with a fingertip grab to extend the lead further.

The final score: Yates 72, North Forest 7. The Lions improve to 5-1 on the season and hold a commanding position in the District 11-4A Division 2 standings heading into the back half of the schedule.
