Willis and star quarterback, D J Lagway, hoping to knock off defending state champs, DeSoto, at the AlamoDome Friday.
Early on, down 3-0, Lagway does what he's been doing all year....make big plays. Here he takes off on the run and gets to the sideline and he's gone. That's a 65 yard score and the Kats are up 7-3.
They were down 17-10 in the 2nd and Lagway finds Jalen Mickens on the crossing route across the middle. Mickens does the rest for a 55 yard score and we are tied at 17.
But for all the fire power Willis had...DeSoto had that much more... Eagle quarterback, D J Bailey flushed out the pocket, but directs traffic and then finds the freshman, Boobie Feaster ,in the end zone. Willis' best season in school history ends with a 65-31 loss.
