Tomball High School baseball has enjoyed a historic run over the last few years, including a state championship in 2024 and a runner-up finish the following season. Central to this success is standout pitcher CJ Sampson. A two-way starter since his freshman year, Sampson boasts an impressive 32-3 record on the mound with nearly 300 strikeouts. He possesses a sophisticated four-pitch mix that includes a fastball, slider, curveball, and changeup. Elite pitching runs in the family, as CJ is the son of former Houston Astros pitcher Chris Sampson. Now signed to play for Texas A&M, CJ is considered a bona fide Major League Baseball prospect with dreams of eventually winning a World Series.
