Seven Lakes Volleyball Star Wiltrace "Wiggles" Ngoh Is a USC-Bound USA National Team Standout
A nickname earned on the court — or in this case, from a children's TV show — can say a lot about a player's personality. For Seven Lakes middle blocker Wiltrace Ngoh, "Wiggles" is just the beginning of the story.
The six-foot USC commit was named District 19-6A Blocker of the Year and recently returned from competing with the USA Under-19 Women's National Team — a distinction that puts her among the elite players in the country at her age. She also earned Under Armour All-American recognition, adding to a résumé that continues to grow at a rapid pace.
What makes Ngoh's trajectory even more striking is how recently she picked up the sport. With only a few years of volleyball under her belt, her combination of elite blocking instincts and the ability to place the ball with precision gives her an unusually high ceiling heading into her college career at USC.
Seven Lakes, a program that captured the UIL state volleyball title in 2020, entered district play this season with a 14-10 non-district record before rattling off seven straight wins to open 19-6A competition. Ngoh figures to be central to any deep postseason run the Spartans make — and in Katy-area volleyball, the expectations are never small.
