What an offensive barrage at Freedom Field as undefeated Iowa Colony took on Needville for the 12-4A Division 1 crown.
First quarter, Iowa Colony's Carson White has all day to locate Landrew Ward wide open for a 23 yard score. 7-0 Pioneers.
Needville would clap back. This is Keilan (Key-lan) Sweeny with a beautiful pass to Kade Ramirez who runs away from his defenders for a 68 yard score to tie it up at 7.
Later first it was 14 all when Da'Shawn Burton takes the handoff and turns a little bit of daylight into a LOT of daylight.....as he breaks it down field...stops on a dime at the 10 to let a defender fly by and then is dragged into the end zone for a 80 yard score. 21-14 Needville.
3rd quarter, down 31-28, White on the keeper for the Pioneers and he gets it to the outside and finds paydirt on this 27 yard score. 35-31 Iowa Colony.
Later 3rd, Burton scores from the 3 yard line for his 5th touchdown of the game and the Blue Jays lead 45-35.
But Iowa Colony would score 14 unanswered in the 4th, the second touchdown on this White 8 yard keeper with just over a minute to play and the Pioneers win it 49-45 to take district
