Nederland Stuns Unbeaten Fort Bend Crawford 22-21 in Late Comeback

Unbeaten Fort Bend Crawford had the look of a team in control. A 77-yard touchdown strike from Benji Fisher to Alvin Mosley on the opening possession staked the Chargers to an 8-0 lead, and when Fisher connected with Bryce Fisher to push the advantage to 21-9, Crawford appeared to be pulling away.

Nederland had other ideas. Jaedon Ned was the engine of the Bulldogs' comeback, converting a short-yardage situation into a touchdown on a play that required every bit of effort — stuffed at the line, Ned kept his legs churning and got a push from teammates to fall into the end zone. He found the end zone again on a 7-yard carry as Nederland put together a pair of second-half scores to flip the scoreboard.

The final: Nederland 22, Fort Bend Crawford 21. The Bulldogs handed the Chargers their first loss of the season in a road upset that came down to the final possession.
