La Porte Girls Basketball Defeats College Station to Reach State Semifinals

The La Porte girls basketball team secured a spot in the state semifinals with a hard-fought 46-41 victory over College Station. The Bulldogs showcased a balanced attack throughout the game. In the opening quarter, Jakayla Glover found Kaia Greenawalt for a key layup, followed by a jumper from Joycella Riggs. Juliana Turango added a three-pointer late in the second quarter to give La Porte a halftime lead. Glover continued to shine in the second half with a spin move and a basket-and-one, eventually sealing the win with an assist to Greenawalt.
