Klein Clinches 15-6A Title With 71-21 Rout of Klein Collins
A district title was on the line, and the Klein Bearkats left no doubt. Facing crosstown rival Klein Collins with a chance to clinch the District 15-6A championship, Klein's offense was in control from the opening drive, rolling to a 71-21 victory.
The Carter Lattelle-to-Mike Brown combination was the story of the night. On the game's first scoring drive, Lattelle found Brown on an out pattern, and Brown did the rest — making one defender miss before sprinting 78 yards down the sideline to put Klein up 16-0. The two connected again in the second quarter across the middle to push the lead to 24-nothing, and Lattelle added another strike later in the half that required a sharp touch on the throw and an even sharper catch from Brown.
Klein never faced a serious challenge, building a commanding halftime lead and cruising to the final margin. The 50-point win clinches the 15-6A title outright for the Bearkats, who head into the postseason with momentum and a district championship banner to show for it.
