Kingwood Girls Soccer Wins 6A-D2 State Title in Thrilling PK Shootout

A perfect season. A state championship. Kingwood capped an unbeaten year by defeating Forney 4-2 in penalty kicks to claim the 6A-D2 title.

Trailing 1-0 in the final minute of regulation, Tyler Weaver buried a rebound to force extra time. Goalkeeper Hazel Rutherford made a diving save in the fourth round of PKs, and Weaver finished the job to complete the dramatic title run.
