Houston Washington vs Silsbee - 2023 Week 28 Basketball Highlights

We move to Class 4A now for the Region 2 final between Washington and Silsbee...Silsbee would jump out to an early lead in this one with defense, leading to offense, the deflection leading to a dunk by Jared Harris on the other end as the Tigers build an early 6 point lead... Still in the first quarter Washington would cut into the lead with Chris McDermott flushing it home with a power move in the paint...And then good ball movement leading to a wide open 3 from the corner from Abraham Kirksey ties the game at 20. In the 2nd quarter McDermott hits the boards and goes coast to coast with the nice leave for Samuell Johnson, Silsbee still on top, 28-24. Just before halftime, Washington takes a 38-35 lead as McDermott finishes this miss with another dunk, he was nothing short of spectacular in this one! The game would come down to Silsbee trying to protect a 3 point lead with under a minute to play, they move it around to Troy Rice, he flushes it as Washington's season comes to an end by a final of 79-70.
