Houston Skyline 17 Royal Finishes 31st in the Nation at Triangle Volleyball

August 25, 2026
Houston Skyline 17 Royal beat Triangle Volleyball in straight sets to finish 31st in the nation, powered by a roster of college-bound Houston-area talent.

A roster loaded with college commitments delivered when it counted. Houston Skyline 17 Royal swept Triangle Volleyball of North Carolina in straight sets, closing out the tournament ranked 31st in the country.

Arizona commit Tinsley Welker-Brown of Fort Bend Austin ran the offense and got things going early, setting up Colorado-bound Aspen Brown of Shadow Creek for a cross-court kill. Welker-Brown kept the attack moving later in the match, finding Seven Lakes' Sofia Faidi for a down-the-line winner.

Duke-bound Danica Beveridge of Magnolia added a kill off the block to keep the pressure on Triangle, and Skyline never looked back. The straight-sets result capped a strong tournament run for the Houston-area club, which drew from programs across the region to assemble one of the more talent-rich rosters in the field.
