Hitchcock vs San Antonio Cole - 2023 Week 29 Basketball Game of the Week

The Bulldogs feel right at home on the Alamodome floor and they showed out in Thursday's semifinal against Cole First quarter, Hitchcock went right to exploiting the Cougars lack of height. Lloyd Jones open in the middle for a quick bucket in the paint. Then Damian McDaniel drives to the baseline and turns to put in two points off the glass. Bulldogs up 10-6 after a quarter. 2nd quarter, more McDaniel as he is on the break and leans into his defender for another basket. McDaniel with 11 points on the night. Then Hitchcock would connect from distance. Bryce Dorsey unguarded decides to launch one...it's good. Then Elijah Sherwood, who actually had a hand in his face, would pull up for 3. Hitchcock up 26-14 at halftime. Second half, Sherwood would go off. First it's the turnaround jumper in the lane Then McDaniel with the perfect pass to him for the reverse layup. Sherwood finished with a game high 20 points and the Bulldogs led 38-23 after 3. Finally, Dorsey with the nifty pass to Jones for another score. Jones with 17 points and 13 boards. Hitchcock is heads to the state final with the 57-40 win and we'll have the highlights of that one in just a bit.
