College Park Dominates Iowa Colony 38-10 in 2026 Season Opener
High expectations followed College Park into the 2026 season, and the Cavaliers wasted no time backing them up. Facing Iowa Colony at Freedom Field in their season opener, College Park built an early lead and never looked back, pulling away for a 38-10 victory that announced their arrival in convincing fashion.
Running back Antonio Booker got the scoring going, taking a handoff, bouncing off a pair of defenders, and dragging another into the end zone to push the lead to 10-0. But the play of the first half belonged to Kaylen Stephens. After College Park botched a snap, Stephens scooped up the loose ball, spun away from a tackler, and outran the defense 33 yards to the end zone — a heads-up improvisation that sent the Cavs into halftime up 24-3.
Iowa Colony showed some fight to open the third quarter when Gage Martinez scored on a keeper to pull the Pioneers within two scores, but College Park responded early in the fourth. Quarterback Camden Hughes connected with Jake Ericsson on a deep ball to move the offense into the red zone, and Stephens capped the drive with his second touchdown of the night.
The final score of 38-10 gave College Park one of the more complete opening-night performances in the Houston area, earning the Cavaliers Texas Oncology Team of the Week recognition.
