Bellville Dominates 86th Meeting vs. Sealy 34-14 to Stay Unbeaten

Nine miles and 86 years of rivalry history separated these two Austin County programs when Sealy made the short trip west on Highway 36 to face Bellville at the Pasture of Pain. The Brahmas made sure the home crowd had plenty to celebrate.

Bellville running back Lukas Hurtado set the tone early, breaking off a 50-yard run to put the Brahmas in business, then punching it in from the one-yard line to open the scoring. Rody Luera added a second-quarter touchdown run of just over ten yards to push the lead to 14-0, and the half's most memorable play came when quarterback Knox Bauerschlag's pass was deflected and hauled in by Don Gillium, who took it to the house. Bellville led 28-0 at the break.

The third quarter brought more of the same. Gillium fumbled near the goal line on a handoff, but Hurtado was right there to fall on the loose ball in the end zone, extending the lead. Bellville closed out a 34-14 victory, keeping its record unblemished while Sealy dropped to 0-2 on the young season.
