Bell Brothers Lead the Kinkaid Falcons with Inspiration From Home

Kinkaid football has been one of the elite teams in the Southwest Preparatory Conference since the early 50’s. The Falcons have won 30 state titles and many graduates have gone on to have successful college careers. But there hasn’t been quite the talent to come through Kinkaid then two guys from the same household. Dillon and Micah Bell make opposing coaches feel nauseous from the first time they pop in their tape.

As dangerous as they are on the field, when they are on campus they will always greet you with a welcoming smile and a kind word. As Head Coach Nathan Larned tells it, Dillon and Micah aren’t your typical Kinkaid kids. Despite having the choice to go to some big 6-A schools, they chose education first and are flourishing in the opportunities Kinkaid has to offer.

That “business decision” has turned out quite well for the Bell boys. Dillon has committed to the #1 college football team in the land….Georgia. While his younger brother, Micah, has offers from all over including Baylor, Houston and Florida. They have the pure athleticism to excel on the gridiron, but if you ask them what motivates them every Friday night, they’ll both answer the same…...Mom. As a single mom, Diedra (Dee-druh) put aside some of her personal goals to make sure her sons achieved theirs. Working 2, sometimes 3 jobs, Diedra made sure her boys always had what they needed to succeed.

When it comes to game time, the Bell brothers are all business. With them both being so versatile, you can find them all over the field. The 2 losses on the Falcon ledger doesn’t sit too well with the siblings, but when it’s all said and done, they are determined that they will be sizing up their fingers for championship rings.
