About Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated
Lamar Consolidated High School opened in Rosenberg in 1949 and has sent the Mustangs to the playoffs 25 times. The football team plays at Guy K. Traylor Memorial Stadium, a venue built in 1960 that serves as the district's main athletic facility. The Mustangs won the 2007 Texas 4A state championship and reached the state semifinals in 2006.
