About Houston Wisdom
Wisdom High School in Houston made the playoffs in 2025 for the first time since 1979, ending a 46-year drought. The Generals finished 5-5 in District 18-6A and defeated Cesar E. Chavez 44-14 to clinch the fourth playoff spot. Head coach Alphonso James built the program from scratch with a roster where nearly 90% of players came from countries where football is rarely played.
