Navasota's Lipscomb intercepts the pass & is off for an easy 2. Lions holding on by 1 after the 1st, 2nd quarter, the Lions Jacob Young buries the three Yates ups its lead to 6 at the half. But the Lions come out roaring in the 3rd Swift misses the jam off the outlet, but no problem, he gets it to Washington for the flush! Then Damion Lewis for 2 of his game high 25, Lions outscore the Rattlers by 11 in the 3rd. Lorenzo Phillips with a TD throw inbounds pass to Melvin Swift the Lions win 103-86 and are headed to state for the 5th time in the past 6 years. After losing the championship game last year our guys were real focused on trying to get back and obviously trying to take it that one game more. It feels good, we feel like we're supposed to be there because we've worked hard all year we're just ready to go to state.
