Yates Lions vs. La Marque Cougars - 2013 Basketball - Week 9

Yates and La Marque for the 3A region 3 title. First quarter Melvin Swift with the big jam and Yates starts the game on an 8-0 run. But La Marque was fired up, Paris Clayton with the 3, as the Cougars grab a 14-12 lead. Lorenzo Phillips took a break from the usual Yates dunkfest to show that teams better respect their outside game as well. Phillips connected on 8 three pointers and a game high 24 points even popping an NBA length three pointer. The Lions have plenty of reason to celebrate as they are headed back to Austin with a convincing 85-50 win.
