Wheatley Lady Wildcats vs. North Forest Lady Bulldogs - 2013 Basktball - Week 2

Wheatley traveled to North Forest on Thursday evening in a battle of undefeated teams in district 21-4A. 3rd Quarter North Forest Hamilton lets it fly to give the Lady Bulldogs a 9 point lead. 4th quarter and North Forest was looking to finish strong. Joi Simmons with a defender on her, pulls up and knocks down the fadeaway, what a night for Simmons finishing with 26 points. Then Simmons from beyond the arc nails the trey and North Forest was up 50-38 with a little over 4 minutes left. But Wheatley doesn't lay down, Meashell Crosby from the top of the key gets fouled and converts a 4 point play. Then Ariel Taylor knocks down the 3 pointer to pull to pull within 2 with around a minute and a half to go. But Fantasia Johnson with some hustle and the nice move in the lane that gives North Forest some cushion as they hand Wheatley it's first district loss 62-55.
