Westside and Cy Creek meet for the right to face Mayde Creek…

Cy Creek strikes first as Julian Uwadia (Ooh-wah-dee-uh) tosses to Jayden Gilbert on 4th and goal from the one, 7-0 Cougars.

Later in the first, Cy Creek lines up for a field goal to take a 10-point lead, but the holder can’t handle the snap, Westside’s Kevin Soto applies the pressure and forces a fumble, and Tah McBright scoops it up for the Wolves and he’s headed the other way. McBright takes it the distance, 64 yards for a Westside touchdown, and that evens it up at 7-7 apiece.

It’s 14-13 Westside in the 2nd, when Uwadia(Ooh-wah-dee-uh) connects with Legend Grigsby for a 3 yard touchdown, and Cy Creek leads 20-14 at halftime.

Westside reclaims the lead in the 3rd, Akeem Benjamin scrambles back to the other side of the field, and eventually finds Dorian Washington open in the end zone, it’s a 22-yard scoring strike and the Wolves lead 21-20.

Cy Creek answers through the air, as Uwadia (Ooh-wah-dee-uh) lets it fly deep for Cogan DeRouselle, it’s a 39-yard touchdown pass play, Uwadia’s fourth of the night, Cougars on top 27-21 after three.

In the fourth, Cy Creek turns to the ground game, Eddie Jimerson has a big hole, he makes a couple of defenders miss and he’s gone. 73 yards for the touchdown, and Cy Creek pulls away for a 41-21 win over Westside, so it will be Cy Creek against Mayde Creek in the next round.
