Week 11-Spring Lions vs. Klein Oak Panthers-2014 Football

Klein Oak knew it was playoff bound, but Spring needed a win to punch a ticket to the postseason. 1. Leading 3-0 in the second quarter, Klein Oak’s Jose Blankenship gets free and goes 35 yards for the score 10-0 Panthers. 2. Spring answers, Alex Woods to Xavier Jones, he makes a move and then it’s 41 yards to the end zone 10-7 Klein Oak at the break. 3. Third quarter, Xavier Jones gets 55 of his 242 yards on this td run as he is gone! 14-10 Lions take the lead. 4. Then Klein Oak on their own one, running play up the middle, ball comes out. Eric Spencer picks it up and goes 12 yards for the score, just like that. Spring up 21-10. 5. Start of the 4th quarter, Klein Oak’s Jose Blankenship one yard keeper 21-16. 6. But Spring would find the end zone again, Alex Woods keeper form 5 yards out. 28-16. 7. And then Woods deep to Ronald Williams, he hauls it in in the end zone. that would be more than enough. Spring wins it 41-16 to reach the playoffs for the first time in 10 years. The Lions will face Atascocita next week, while Klein Oak will host The Woodlands at 7:00 on Friday night.
