Week 11-Manvel Mavericks vs. Pearland Oilers-2014 Football

No love loss between the teams but there is respect...first quarter belonged to D'Eriq King... The junior had 3 touchdowns through the air in the first quarter, the first if which came on the first play from scrimmage... this 19 yd pass to Matt Adams to make it 7-0.. And we all know King can scramble too...an amazing juke to the inside gets everyone to bite and he is gone...48 yds for the score...14-3 Mamvel But In the second, Pearland would rally and strike Jake Blumrick to Ryan Diaz from 41 yds out to make it 28-17... Then it's Davier Pinkston...1 yd run for the score...and it was a ball game all of a sudden, 28-24 at the break... Pearland cut it to 28-27 midway through the 3rd quarter but King would extend Manvel's lead, hooks up with Hemphill-Maps for the 3rd time to make it 35-27... In the 4th...Oilers drive it all the way down the field, Pinkston with another touchdown run to make it a two point deficit 35-33... Pearland goes for two...it's a wide receiver reverse pass, but Manvel reads it perfectly, they intercept it at the goal line... And that was the deciding play...Manvel wins the district over Pearland, 35-33...
