Tomball Cougars vs. Tomball Memorial Wildcats - 2013-14 Girls Basketball - 01/10/14

Both Tomball and Tomball Memorial entered their matchup Friday night with identical 6-0 records in district 22-4A play. 1st quarter, Mandy Moerschell with the crisp pass to Ann Marie McStravick and it was 11-6 Tomball after one. 2nd quarter, it's Tomball's Laisia Chisolm great drive through the lane. Memorial storms back, Kenya Miles kicks it out to Emily Chaffin off the glass and it's just a 1 point deficit. Memorial forces the turnover, and get it up to Emily Chaffin, it was part of a 13-3 run to take a 5 point lead into the half. But Tomball regained the momentum early in the 3rd, Carissa Diaz floats across the paint for the basket. Meagan Shoemaker with the putback, and Tomball retakes the lead 20-19. Memorial had it's moments as Tyia Jackson on the run and gets fouled, but it was Tomball that held on 36-33.
