But that stingy Klein Collins defense settles in, and the Tigers Deandre Rucker punches the ball loose and Ben Purifoy recover the fumble for Klein Collins. That leads to a Tigers field goal and it’s 7-3 at halftime.
It’s 10-6 in the fourth, when Colby Powers using his power to muscle his way across the goalline for Klein Collins, Tigers take a 13-10 lead.
Highlanders looking to answer, as Ben Mills sets up the screen for Ben Ferguson, Ferguson slips free of a defender and gets to the edge. He takes it 59 yards deep into Tigers territory to set up a game-tying field goal, and it’s knotted up at 13-apiece.
With 2 minutes left in the game, Powers again on the read option fights his way in for the go-ahead touchdown, Klein Collins back in front 20-13.
Still time for the Highlanders though. Mills launching it deep for Knox, what a clutch throw late in the game and Knox hauls it in! It’s a 45-yard yard gain and the Highlanders have life.
With 4 seconds left, it’s 4th and goal for The Woodlands. Direct snap to Knox, but the Klein Collins defense stacks him up at the one-yard line. What a defensive stand for the Tigers, as Klein Collins holds on for a thrilling 20-13 win over The Woodlands.
