5A Region 2 action saw The Woodlands travel to College Station to take on Austin Anderson. Right out of the gate, John Gramlich blows by the defender to the hole as Anderson opened on a 7-0 lead. The Woodlands clamps down on defense and forces the steal, Hayden Galatas with the no look pass to Cody Mason which cuts the lead to 6 late in the 1st. Rasmus Bach with the defender all over him still manages to bury the three right before the buzzer and Anderson had a 9 point lead after one quarter of play. Brian Baehl heats up in the 2nd quarter he scored 9 straight for the Highlanders including a pair of three pointers and all the sudden it was just a 3 point deficit at halftime. 22-19. The Woodlands took its 1st lead of the game in the 3rd quarter when Garrett Colonna knocks it down. Galata is right on the money with the pass to Cody Mason for the basket. But Anderson hangs tough Bach with the hoop and the foul it was part of a 13-0 run as Anderson moves on.
