Late 2nd quarter, Texas City quarterback Joey Duran handles the high snap and takes off on his own for a 6 yard touchdown. 10-7 Stingarees at the break.
10-10 in the 3rd, Texas City running back Maurice Burton goes to his right....nothing doing there so he cuts back for a 10 yard score....Stingarees up 17-10 going into the 4th.
That's when the defense stepped up. Just take a look at this hit by Xavier Skowron (Scow -run) in the open field....OUCH!!!! Hurts me just looking at it.
Then, with the Tors at the 9 yard line late 4th with a chance to tie, Texas City's Camryn Greif (grief) goes unblocked and lays the wood.....that gives Texas City the defensive title belt and the victory as the Stingarees take it 17-10.
