Terry Rangers vs. Georgetown Eagles - 2013 Basketball - Week 9

Terry and Georgetown went at it with a spot in Austin on the line. Derrick Griffin was a beast in the early going, he gets the block and then a bit later on seems to come out of nowhere to deny Georgetown a scoring opportunity. Since not much was working down low Georgetown looked for some points outside and found moderate success from players like Sam Talbert. Terry was connecting from long range too, Griffins 3 put the Rangers up 17-10. 2nd quarter Georgetown has some tight defense, but Eugene Wright manages to score anyway as Terry went into the break up 7. Georgetown comes out hot in the third as Jean Luc Parker strokes a couple of three's, this one cuts the lead to 27-23. Terry busts things open in the latter half of the third quarter however, Griffin with the Ally Oop from Billy White. Then it's White knocking down the trey as the Rangers went into the 4th with a 14 point lead White finished with 17 points. The White-Griffin combo works once again in the 4th, the dunk was 2 of Griffins 20 on the evening. Terry is off to state with a 58-37 victory. Four years I've been waiting, it's my senior year I had to do it once. We're fixing to go up to Austin and get the trophy, so it ain't over with.
