The perks to being the only senior on senior night...you get all the flowers! Lone senior Gyny Roach was hoping to lead Tarkington over Huffman who has junior guard Kelsie McEachern. She's the daughter of Falcons head coach football coach Randy McEachern. Tarkington was in a must win situation and they came out strong, The inbounds play to Tara Roach who gets open for 2. Erica Squire spots up for the jumper, she gets the bounce and Tarkington was up 7 after the 1st quarter. 2nd quarter McEachern in the corner, she nails the three and finished with 12 points on the night. Christina Bardwell glides to the hole for the basket, and the Falcons were in the way back. Then right before the half Kayla Pendergrass with the 3, it's the first lead of the game for Huffman as they close out the 1st half on a 12-2 run. You don't see this everyday Carley Coogler is also on the Tarkington dance team, and does the half time performance before running into the locker room to be with the basketball team...as if she didn't get enough exercise! 2nd half, Bardwell puts it back she paced Huffman with 14 points as the Falcons take it 44-34.
