Summer Creek vs Duncanville - 2023 Week 28 Girls Basketball Highlights

Summer Creek girls Head Coach Danny Ott has been to state before with Cedar Park, but this is his first year with the Bulldogs. They took on Duncanville in a 6A semifinal and in the first quarter, Kennedy Simpson with the clear path for a lefty layup. Later, Mychie (Mikey) White with the football pass to Simpson for another layup. The Bulldogs hanging in there with the 11 time state champs. Second quarter, White is open for 3....it's good. However, Summer Creek trailed 23-14 at the break. 4th quarter, Bulldogs march back. First, Rutgers commit, Zachara Perkins for 3 and suddenly they were only down 2 with 5 minutes to play. Then, Simpson again takes it to the rack...this time with the right hand. Game is tied at 29 with just under 4 to play. Late 4th, Bulldogs down 2....Simpson tries to score again..misses...but Mariyah Brown is there for the putback with 8 seconds left and we are going overtime tied at 31. Duncanville would do all the scoring in OT....especially Mariah Clayton who finished with a game high 18 points.
