In a thrilling high school soccer playoff matchup, the Summer Creek Bulldogs delivered a stunning 3-0 shutout against defending champion Vandergrift to advance to their first-ever state title game. Summer Creek's defense remained dominant, having allowed only one goal in their previous four playoff wins. The scoring opened late in the first half when a corner kick by Bruno Montemayor resulted in an own goal. In the second half, Ty Fernandez extended the lead with a penalty kick after being tripped in the box. Caden Baba sealed the victory with a spectacular 30-yard strike with just over 10 minutes remaining. Summer Creek will now face College Park in the state championship game next Saturday.
