Spring Westfield Mustangs vs. Kingwood Mustangs - 2013 Football - Week 9

It was a battle of the Mustangs as Westfield head coach Corby Meekins was looking for the programs 20th consecutive regular season victory at the expense of Kingwood. 1st Qtr. Courtland Greenwood goes way up top to Tevin Lewis for a 40 yard reception to the Kingwood 9 yard line, what a catch! And then it' s Greenwood on the keeper as he rolls around the left side for the touchdown run. 7-0 Westfield in the early going. 2nd qtr. Westfield @ the Kingwood 1 and the Westfield O-Line moves the pile forward. Greenwood's 2nd TD of the night makes it 14-0 Westfield. Still in the 2nd, Lewis is well covered but makes the grab in the midst of 2 members of the Kingwood secondary, the 28 yd strike from Greenwood makes it 28-0 Westfield. The Mustangs weren't through, Greenwood rolls right and lobs it over to Thompson for the 18 yard touchdown reception, with Greenwood accounting for all 5 touchdowns in some fashion, Westfield goes into the half up 35-0, and they send Kingwood to a 3rd consecutive loss with the 52-20 the final.
