Spring Westfield Mustangs vs. Houston Memorial Mustangs - 2013 Football - Week 1

Alright here's the deal, I want the wind in the 4th quarter. What do you think Dwayne, you think it's blowing that way, we're gonna kick this way defend that and we're gonna take the wind and the clock unless it shifts on us. Westfield Head Coach Corby Meekins was hoping to see his team's dominance over Memorial continue in a battle of the Mustangs. Memorial entered the 3rd quarter down 28-6, but the home team found a spark in the 3rd when Colton Taylor connected with Morgan Whatley behind the defense for a 25 yard touchdown, it was the 2nd TD for the duo on the night. Any shot of a Memorial comeback was stopped however by Westfield plays like this, the ball deflects off the intended receiver into Austin Opara's hands for a 27 yard gain. A couple of plays later Rayquan Jones gets a full head of steam for the 20 yard touchdown and Westfield knocks off Memorial for the 5th straight year, 42-13 is the final.
