Spring Westfield Mustangs vs. Conroe Oak Ridge War Eagles - 2013 Football - Week 11

Derrick Rush leading Oak Ridge into its 1st playoff game since 2010. But having U of H commit Courtland Greenwood and Westfield as your 1st round opponent is no easy task. Greenwood goes to work early, the long pass to the outstretched arms of Tevin Lewis and what a catch as Lewis manages to haul it in leading to an early 7-0 lead. Still in the 1st Latevius Downs on the misdirection and here he comes taking the ball down the sidelines 65 yards for the touchdown. Westfield goes up 14-0 and Downs gets some high fives and even a hug for his efforts. Final minute of the 1st, more from Downs as he gets the pass from 7, and Downs takes a shot, but manages to stay on his feet and fights his way in for the 26 yard touchdown 21-7 Mustangs. 2nd quarter Westfield has Oak Ridge pinned at the 1 facing a 4th and 22, Jeremiah Smith gets the punt at the 34 and makes a beeline for the end zone putting Westfield up 28-7. 3rd quarter, Oak Ridge down 38-7, but Riley McKnight finds Michael Angeletti for a touchdown giving the Eagles fans a bit of hope, as Oak Ridge gets back into it. Westfield regained control, at its own 5 yard line Rayquan Jones takes the hand off finds a hole, and is off to the races, Oak Ridge's Lleweldyn Jones never gives up on the play and takes Rayquan Jones down at the 1 yard line, but it was a 94 yard run. Jones gets his number called again and would score on the next play however to put Westfield up 45-13, and The Mustangs advance 52-21.
