Seven Lakes Spartans vs. Katy Taylor Mustangs - 2013 Football - Week 5

Katy Taylor came into it's district 19-5A matchup against Seven Lakes fired up, but the Mustangs would have their hands full with defensive lineman Jarrett Johnson who is committed to the Aggies. 1st qtr. Seven Lakes Randolph Turnbull with the bootleg to tie the game at 7. Seven Lakes Head Coach Lydell Wilson was happy to see his team driving in the 2nd, but Devin Miller jumps in front of the Turnbull pass and gets it back to the 37, but the Mustangs couldn't convert the turnover into points and the two teams would go into the break tied @ 7. The 3rd qtr. sees Seven Lakes make an outstanding defensive play as Junior Henderson intercepts the Clay Holgorsen pass, great athleticism! Later in the 3rd, it's another short touchdown run from Turnbull and Seven Lakes gets it's first lead of the night, 14-7. Katy Taylor tried to come back, but Johnson shows why he's one of the top players in the state as he stuffs the run. Bryan Moore had a big night look at this run in the 4th as he dives over the goal line for the score, Moore finished with 154 yards on 23 carries and Seven Lakes moves to 5-0 with the 24-7 victory.
